Today, as I was doing some prints in the darkroom, just standing there alone (what can I say, not the whole world has gone digital *lol*), waiting for the pictures to appear, there were some thoughts coming to my head ... and of course they are thoughts about roads :-). Now, I don't know if these words have been said by anyone famous, or not that famous for that matter, but for right now, they are my words, and I claim them to be my own ...
"Life is a road that's meant to be traveled on."
What does this mean?
I for myself think, that in order to get somewhere you have to move. So that's what you do when you're on a road, a path, a street or anything like it. You walk and you move forward. I can imagine that it might be comfy and nice to just stay in places we know and which are familiar to us. But, you tend to stay there for too long. There are so many things ahead of that road, waiting just around the bend for us to explore. But if we don't walk, if we don't move forward, we'll never get to experience just what might lie ahead ...
So, I say, take those steps, even though difficult sometimes, move forward and travel the road!
And a footnote to finish with ... completely off topic though (or maybe not), but here it goes ...
Also happened this evening at photography class. Someone commented on the clothes that I was wearing. "All in black today, huh?". And I said: "Well, yes", correcting him though, that my dress was however anthracite and not black. haha ;).
Then, when getting ready to leave I put on my coat (which is white), and he walked by and said: "Ahhh, black AND white it is." And I replied: "Yeah, and many more shades of gray inbetween."
Just one of life's little and sometimes unnoticed stories I wanted to share.
love that "many more shades of gray inbetween"

Aaaah...That´s the promised story...the black/white/grey inbetween story. I remember. A philosophic interplay while surrounded by chemicals in the dark room. Maybe the developer had a mystic talent to trigger deep-going thoughts. We should test this again :-)
